Fading thread veins and redness, gently.
IPL targets the small visible vessels behind thread veins and facial redness, heating them so they fade from view — clearing the skin without needles or surgery.
What it is
The same intense pulsed light that clears pigment can also target the haemoglobin in tiny visible blood vessels. The light is absorbed by the vessel, heats it, and causes it to close and gradually be reabsorbed — so the thread vein or patch of redness fades from the surface.

- Facial thread veins (broken capillaries) on the cheeks and around the nose
- Diffuse facial redness
- Rosacea-type redness (managed, not cured)
- General high colour and flushing
What to expect
A session is quick — often 15–30 minutes. You’ll feel a warm snap with each pulse. Treated vessels may look slightly darker or more prominent immediately afterwards before fading over the following days to weeks.
A course of sessions usually gives the best, most even result, with redness settling soon after each. As with all IPL, sun protection between sessions matters and Anne will guide you.
Is it right for me?
IPL for vessels suits lighter skin tones and surface-level thread veins and redness. Larger leg veins and deeper vessels need a different approach. Anne will assess honestly and tell you if another route would serve you better.
